Dr. Charles McGowan is happy on either side of the northeast U.S./Canada border. He crossed it from birth in 1931 through the present and revived tales of farm, forest, friends, and family in a recently authored book. He had the good fortune to marry an artist who loved the coastline from Cape Cod to Calais as much as he appreciated the Great North Woods. They nurtured ten children while he practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery. A natural story-teller committed to heritage, he blends first hand with research when paying homage to each account, legend, or yarn.
