J.C. Elkin is an optimist, linguist, singer and M.F.A. candidate at Bennington Writing Seminars and the author of World Class: Poems Inspired by the ESL Classroom and other works drawing on spirituality, feminism, travel, and childhood appearing domestically and abroad in such journals as The Delmarva Review, Kestrel, and Angle. J.C. was born in Maine, spent summers there, and graduated from Bates College before leaving New England in the Eighties. J.C.’s father still lives in Kittery.
